I spent 2 nights at Lakeside Motel and spent some time talking with Al the motel manager. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the completely remodeled rooms were. They are so much better than what you’d think this 10 room motel would have. Al said a new parking lot is on the way. Al also gave me good recommendations for local independent restaurants. This little mom and pop motel is great value with nice rooms and friendly service. I would stay here again.
An old-time motel: laid back and friendly. The rooms have been renovated and the place has perks you wouldn’t expect, like free bottled water, coffee, and bars.
I stayed in this motel on 6/3/2022 and was pleasantly surprised, I only needed a bed to sleep in while traveling for the night. The room was super clean and cozy. The pillows were placed on the bed like you would see on a magazine cover and the towels were shaped or folded like sea shells, it was so adorable! They took time making sure the room was spotless, and stocked with different flavors of coffee and snacks. This is something I have never experienced in any motel and oh the cost to stay was reasonable. Customer service was incredible, being a single female traveling I felt very comfortable staying here and will highly recommend. I hope to get a chance to stay here again.
I booked a room for my parents. They were attending an event near Bayfield. I have heard nothing but positives from them! The room was spotless. The owner personally met them and showed them the room. The bed was comfortable and they got a great night sleep. They will certainly be sharing this find with other travelers.
I would give extra stars for service if I could. I had some unexpected issues on my way into town that affected my check-in and the manager went above and beyond to help me out (thank you!!!). The room was spotless and freshly updated. I'll definitely consider the Lakeside Motel for my next visit!
The King "Suite" is huge, much bigger than the more expensive national brands! Very clean. Ceiling fan! New flooring. Frig. Microwave. And even PAPER TOWELS. It's like they know me!!!
I’ve stayed here many times over the past few years while visiting my daughter and will keep coming back any time in the area. Rooms are small and basic, but very nice and always spotless. The manager is great and always so accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend staying here. Way nicer that the two big hotels in town
A great find! We stopped in the town of Ashland, and found few rooms available, and very pricey. We called Lakeside Motel, and Al had one room left, and for a fair price (a deal compared to others). The room was so clean, comfy, and modern/updated. The location was conveniently right off of hwy 2, but the traffic noise was not a factor inside the room. Al is a wealth of information from where to eat to places to check out. The owner and Al didn't miss a beat on the details for the customers comforts. For not having a plan on where to stay, this was a gem of a find!
